Pilotasso Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 Interesting. I think its might be to overcome the RVVAE limitations being it an export verion. Is it based on R-77 tech? .
Vekkinho Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Yeah, it surely looks like enlarged Adder but it's a SARH missile, isn't it?! I didn't know Indian AF has R-77 is use?!! The Astra is intended to have performance characteristics similar to the R-77RVV-AE (AA-12), which currently forms part of the IAF's missile armoury. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Pilotasso Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 They have it but its stripped off datalink, wich kinda breaks the missile. .
nscode Posted September 20, 2008 Posted September 20, 2008 Couldn't they find a better font :D Never forget that World War III was not Cold for most of us.

Pilotasso Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Interesting. The color of the flame is also unnusual. .
X-man Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Could be due to the low altitude. Flames tend to change color higher up :) 64th Aggressor Squadron Discord: 64th Aggressor Squadron TS: 135.181.115.54
