Not really a bug - but certainly a game-play limiter:
When ground objects/ buildings get destroyed, the fires and smoke that are generated seem to have maximum density, and this cannot be townded down. This can cause significant FPS losses for players - asides from looking pretty ugly.
A B17 raid on an airfield or industrial area, for example, can results in tens of these fires.

Can these base effects be reworked to be a LOT less dense with much smaller fires?

The effects I have seen so far are pretty good. I would say you and I are using almost the same system (3800x, 1080ti, 32GB 3200,asus x570, m.2). I have not noticed the drop you talk about. I am running high settings preset

I noticed it  but im trying to run on an RX570   lol.     if it had a LoD slider like tree's  scenery objects it would be perfect.....and permenantly set at 0.1  🙂
