If the files isn't there, it sounds like there might be a problem with an antivirus program removing the file as a false positive. Try adding that folder as an exception in your antivirus software, and then repair again. 1 Viggen is love. Viggen is life. 7800X3D | RTX 4070 Ti S | 64GB 6000MHz RAM |
Schmidtfire Posted April 25, 2021 Posted April 25, 2021 (edited) A friend of mine experienced the same issue. Strange thing was that DCS was running like usual, displaying Viggen module as installed - but he could not enter the cockpit. DCS repair, not working. He re-installed the module. Still not working. Another repair... not working. So we started comparing our folders. Turns out he was missing ajs.dll We think It has to do with Malwarebytes removing the file. From memory, he re-configured or turned Malwarebytes off, made sure the missing dll was in place, and that solved the issue. It’s quite strange that DCS did not warn for a missing dll file as it is a quite severe issue. Edited April 25, 2021 by Schmidtfire
Mikkall Posted April 26, 2021 Author Posted April 26, 2021 Thanks. Will let ya'll know what I figure out.
Mikkall Posted April 29, 2021 Author Posted April 29, 2021 Yep. Looks like it's Malwarebytes. Did it to both my versions (OB & Release). AND it did it to the SA342.dll as well. Also no warning from MB.
Machalot Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 Sounds like MalwareBytes is kind of behaving like malware! "Subsonic is below Mach 1, supersonic is up to Mach 5. Above Mach 5 is hypersonic. And reentry from space, well, that's like Mach a lot."
