Laser Trigger Option Bug?

Hi there, I'm not sure if I've discovered a bug or if my understanding of the laser in trigger mode is incorrect. 

 

However whenever I arm the laser and click trigger on the MFD for an LGB drop. The laser still automatically comes on without me pressing the trigger. This happens for the GBU12 and GBU24. It is behaving in the exact same way as auto laser mode. The bombs are perfectly guided without any trigger pressing whatsoever.

 

When I try the trigger option with the laser maverick it works perfectly. I press the trigger, the laser comes on. If I release it it goes off.

I can confirm after testing that it is both the ATFLIR and Lightning II pods.
