MartinAR Posted May 5, 2021 Posted May 5, 2021 Hello. I wonder if someone could help me with this. In the F6 weapons' view missiles or rockets don't have a sound. In a previous version I hear it fine. I tried changing the sound settings without luck.
ED Team btd Posted May 5, 2021 ED Team Posted May 5, 2021 Just checked. In my dcs version evrth is fine. Please add the video and the track Best regards, Kanstantsin Kuzniatsou (btd) https://soundcloud.com/btd
MartinAR Posted May 5, 2021 Author Posted May 5, 2021 Thanks for your replay. I uninstalled all my mods for the video. The problem still exists. https://youtu.be/9ft2RAWX7Ho F6 view.trk
ED Team btd Posted May 6, 2021 ED Team Posted May 6, 2021 That's strange. I checked your track. Evrth is fine, the rocket sounds well. Maybe something in the current brunch version of dcs Best regards, Kanstantsin Kuzniatsou (btd) https://soundcloud.com/btd
MartinAR Posted May 6, 2021 Author Posted May 6, 2021 I tried to change my audio settings without luck. I don't know what else to do. It's not a big problem but now I know its not working it bugs me.
Flappie Posted May 6, 2021 Posted May 6, 2021 Maybe you have sound files missing. Please reproduce the issue, then attach your dcs.log file ( C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS...\Logs\dcs.log ). ---

It seems remains the same. I'm attaching the log. I appreciate the help. Thanks dcs.log
Flappie Posted May 8, 2021 Posted May 8, 2021 Please download the attached file. It's a DCS track showing a Kh-25ML missile being fired. Place it here: C:\Users\MR\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Tracks Then start DCS, click "REPLAY" and select the track. Once the missile is fired, you should be able to hear it when the camera is placed behind it, but you won't be able to hear it when the camera is placed in front of it. Kh-25ML.trk ---

Anyway thanks for the help. I suppose the only thing left is to reinstall the sim

You can start by renaming your "C:\Users\MR\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Saved Games\DCS" folder into "DCS_backup", then try to reproduce the issue. If you're still able to reproduce the issue after this, do the following in order to retrieve your custom settings: Exit the game Rename the newy created "DCS" folder into "DCS_virgin" Rename your "DCS_backup" folder into "DCS" Edited May 8, 2021 by Flappie ---

Now looking at the new folder and comparing to the old I found one folder called sounds that it seems to be related to some mod... not sure, and inside I founded several lua files named weapons, missiles, bombs...probably the cause of the problem. Thanks to you and the rest of the people that took the time to help. Cheers Edited May 8, 2021 by MartinAR
