Nice paintjob, but SAAF birds seem more weathered than Swedish! Shaggy, could you add more weathering to Swedish skin?

Here's another question, is the nozzle animated?!

The Gripen Model looks brilliant. It's great to see the progress too. Very exciting!

hi shaggy

i have a question, when the gears retract or extract of your gripen, they have to rotate right? do to the airframe they have too :-)

how did you manage to make a good wheel rotation?

i am nearly done with all the f15 animations but this is one thing i have alot of troube do to the linking and the limitations of the arg based animation.

can you help me with that if you found a good way for the animation ?

edit:

do you allready have a pilot for your model?

Hi Borchi. I think the gripen has automatic brakes to stop the wheels from turning when going in and out the gear bay, but the real dude to talk to in this manner is VireVolte_tigrou as this is his wonderful model and I only skin aircraft.

Hope the information maybe is useful

@Borchi :

No, the main gears do not rotate ! On this picture, you could see the leg has just to follow the axis of rotation where it is fixed, about 40° to the right, and 35° to the aft. A very painful job to tune, indeed :weight_lift:...

For wheels rotation, the arguments do not support more than 180° rotation, otherwise it bugs... So you have to insert one or two extra keys on your curve (thanks to Ada Mod Team for the tip !).

@Vekkinho :

Sorry, I will not be connected for next two weeks, and I won't be able to produce any animations before...

PS : no, I don't have a pilot yet !

Was the J39 automated pilot mod yours. I have it, waiting for your awesome mod. Have you scrapped that one and building a new one or was that someone elses mod. Let me check and I will see who made it.

P.S.

It does not say. There are 3 .bmp and a Pilot.Max file.

VNAO has a pilot that salutes, I think when canopy comes down. It is an F2 look and the actual pilot is ED's default chutist. Is this what you mean? Or do a complete pilot to replace the ED one, chutist and all?

Posted

ED's pilot is not that bad when inside the pit, but when pilot ejects, pilot+seat model is baaad to the bone. it's a separate model. Both sides (red and blue) use the same seat and chutist model because having a hi poly version asks for 2 different chutists and 2 different seat models. So this lo poly version is like a compromise to represent both versions and to be interpreted as Blue and red guy and seat!

@Vekkinho:

nope the pilot you talk about is not mine.

mine is a diffrent one which will only be released with the new f15c i am working on with full force.

check it our at http://www.simmoders.com and see for yourself.

right now i can only say, that the pilot i have there looks more western then any pilot ever looked in lockon :-)

and i also assume that he will be the best looking so far.

allready checked it in game :joystick::pilotfly::joystick::D
