iLOVEwindmills Posted May 13, 2021 Posted May 13, 2021 I was flying online, and after placing some markpoints etc, I found I had no way of cycling through these. Later on I realized this is due to not having any waypoints. If you don't have at least one waypoint entered you can make no use of any other map based designation. You can place them, but you cannot cycle through them with waypoint increment or the moving map OSB buttons. I'm wondering if this is correct behaviour? It seems a bit odd that you can place markpoints and designate targets (which the plane will remember as they will be accessible after creating a waypoint), but unable to access them until any random waypoint exists.
Xpendable Posted May 27, 2021 Posted May 27, 2021 You can work around this problem by manually a creating a new waypoint from the cockpit. Once you create it, everything should function normally. Here's how: On ESHD page, press DATA then press "WYPT" OBU then on UFC press 2 then ENT. This will put "*2" on scratch pad. Now press "POS" OBU, press "2" for N, then enter something like "410000" ENT, the press "POS" again, press "6" for E and enter "0430000" ENT. Confirm N and E coords are shown in top left of ESHD. Press DATA again and you should now be able to cycle through waypoints, mark points, target points, etc.
iLOVEwindmills Posted May 27, 2021 Author Posted May 27, 2021 Yeah, its an easy enough workaround, I'm just wondering if this is correct behaviour.
kengou Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 Real jets just aren't designed to operate without waypoints, it's never done. It's a shame that multiplayer is built like it is in DCS but these planes need waypoints.
