Okay, i need a AAR on this sweetharts!

Im thinking about getting two of them for a OS RAID. Are they very loud ?

Groove, just read the link then you can find answer for your all questions. From first hand I can tell that VelociRaptor is really silent.

VelociRaptor is even faster than SAS 15.000rpm (Serial Attached Storage) disks about seeking time also reading+writing. So if you're looking for high performance at your PC such as short loading time, low latency/fast response etc. That's what you need.

Details at below,

Yep great drives,

trying to toss up between the Velociraptor 74gb or a 32gb SSD (early next year), still undecided both have advantages and disadvantages. Also need to take into account those server 15000rpm drives take a lot longer to load then a velociraptor
