MEL4R Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 (edited) Steam Edition DCS world (openbeta) won't start. I did verify integrity of game files. I've recently closed it with task menager (doesn't know if it makes any difference). As required logs attached. dcs.log dcs.log.old dcs.log-20200417-141433.zip dcs.log-20200422-083015.zip DCS-SimpleRadioStandalone.log DCS-SRS-GameGUI.log DCS-SRS-InGameRadio.log debrief.log voice_chat.log Edited May 28, 2021 by MEL4R
Flappie Posted May 28, 2021 Posted May 28, 2021 According to both your dcs.log files, the game launches just fine. Main menu is reached, and you event went to Settings, and then launched a Caucasus instant action mission. But I see these logs are more than one day old. Try renaming your "C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS" folder into "DCS_backup" 2021-05-27 15:31:45.348 INFO TACVIEW.GUI.LUA: Tacview 1.8.6.201 C++ flight data recorder successfully loaded. 2021-05-27 15:31:45.495 INFO Dispatcher: //=== END OF INIT ======================================// 2021-05-27 15:31:45.496 INFO EDCORE: (dDispatcher)enterToState_:2 2021-05-27 15:31:45.524 INFO EDCORE: (dDispatcher)enterToState_:3 2021-05-27 15:31:45.524 INFO Lua: Lua CPU usage: metric: average game loading: 59.6641 % 2021-05-27 15:31:45.552 INFO DCS: Screen: MainMenu 2021-05-27 15:31:47.694 INFO NET: login was cancelled. 2021-05-27 15:31:52.128 INFO DCS: Screen: Settings 2021-05-27 15:32:13.365 INFO DCS: Screen: MainMenu 2021-05-27 15:32:14.792 INFO DCS: Screen: InstantAction 2021-05-27 15:32:14.798 INFO SOUND: Using SSSE3 for peak calc. 2021-05-27 15:32:16.501 INFO Dispatcher: load terrain from ./Mods/terrains/Caucasus\terrain.cfg.lua 2021-05-27 15:32:16.503 INFO TERRAIN: lSystem::load(./Mods/terrains/Caucasus\terrain.cfg.lua) 2021-05-27 15:32:16.503 INFO TERRAIN: lSystem::openSession(./Mods/terrains/Caucasus\terrain.cfg.lua ---
MEL4R Posted May 29, 2021 Author Posted May 29, 2021 When I directly tried to run DCS.exe from DCS world/bin location I come across notification that it can't continue to execute code, because VCRUNTIME140_1.dll couldn't be found. Tried what you adviced, but didn't work, I've reinstalled also and issue still ocurred.
MEL4R Posted May 29, 2021 Author Posted May 29, 2021 RosyPlays, installing Microsoft Visual solved the problem. Thank's to everyone involved in solving my case. 1
