I would love to see a bit of a rework in the overall Multiplayer UI and general experience.

Points to be improved:

  • Under the "Select Role" UI its very difficult to easily filter and choose the aircraft to spawn. It would be nice to have an option to sort by "ocuppied slots" in order to see where most players are spawning and where the action is taking place.
  • Its very difficult to understand which aircraft slots are actually available, its a hit and miss when you try to select a slot and then it turns out that that base is not under your coalition control, or there is no enough fuel, or whatever. It would be nice to clearly see in the UI information as "Available airbases, fuel levels, weapon levels...."

Possible enhancements:

  • Battlefield briefing room/Improved F10 map, to show a kind of battlefield status when you join a game and before you pick a slot. Something to easily see:
    • Current coalition air bases and players spawn in each
    • Current position of air defenses (at least strategic ones)
    • Current AWACS availability in the mission
    • Logistic levels in the different Airbases/Farps

Hopefully this will be considered with the new Dynamic campaign.

I had the EXACT same idea once, this would be amazing to see in DCS and would definitely improve multiplayer and could possibly bring some singleplayer DCS enjoyers over to MP.  The role select screen could definitely use a makeover, and this would be perfect.

The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
