Is the optical sight supposed to look like this in VR? (bug? or something wrong with my DCS?)

First of all sorry if this was asked/mentioned before somewhere or if it was already tagged as WIP. (did a quick search, but couldn't find this).

In VR, when switching to the operators optical sight, I see this:

So, the sight appears to be something like an overlay, with the cockpit still visible. I really hope this is a "work in progress"  bug, because clearly the optical sight should be VR image filling (as in, one should only be able to see the sight and the rest of the field of view should be black).

Anyone else seeing this in VR, or is this an issue on my end?

(I have no mods installed and deleted both fxo and metashaders)

Placeholder. I am hoping to see a proper VR implantation where you can look at the sight area and then you see similar in there. So you can move head up and look around, and head back down and get the view.

Is this the plan? - I was about to start a topic on my disappointment in the sight implementation in VR, as I hoped that simply by looking down the sight lens one would see through the periscope as IRL, rather than the immersion-breaking pop up window.

If this is WIP then that's fine, I can wait.  I think it would be great to position my virtual head on the sight and adjust fire accordingly.
