White dots valve index after video card upgrade to 3090. General issue not DCS specific.

Firstly this  is not a DCS only  issue. However I only use my VR with DCS. I have just upgraded from gigabyte 2080ti extreme water force to a gigabyte 3090 extreme water force. I use the Valve index. Disappointed though as when using the 3090 with the index am getting lots of little white dots. This generally, not just in DCS. Changed back to the 2080ti and all is good again. Sending the 3090 back unfortunately. ☹️Reason for post is to see if anybody using the index have had this issue?

Hi Glyn, I don’t have an index, but,  are you getting the effect in 2d or only in Vr?

Only in VR. Wondering if it was picking up some interference from the new card?

Try it in a different HDMI port?

White pixels jumping around usually meant problems in either clockspeeds, a VRAM or GPU.

Try to underclock card for both.

Yeah, try different HDMI/DP ports on your video card. They are not created equal.

I got bad snow on my pimax using some DP ports, and it was a clean image on another. Go figure.
