PreyingFox Posted June 25, 2021 Posted June 25, 2021 When starting on the ground, the ASP-17 sight in auto mode does not track correctly. It looks like it goes straight to zero distance when the Hind is pointed below the horizon, and the drift indicator looks incorrect as well. This problem does not occur when starting in the air, but it does happen whether doing a hot start or cold start on the ground. HindAutoSightBug.trk
PreyingFox Posted June 26, 2021 Author Posted June 26, 2021 So I think I figured it out, we have to switch on the switch labeled 'CPLR DISTR' on the gunner front panel and the sight starts working. The switch is off by default when starting on the ground but is turned on when you tell the AI to turn on weapons. Not sure if it's intentional or maybe part of the full start-up procedure but there it is.
PreyingFox Posted June 26, 2021 Author Posted June 26, 2021 I meant if it is intentional for that switch to be part of the operation for the sight since I haven't heard about this switch before, but I guess it isSent from my Pixel 3 using Tapatalk
Floydii Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 I believe the Quick start guide refers to switching it on as part of weapon start up, but yeah, it appears petrovich doesn't do it.
Lurker Posted June 30, 2021 Posted June 30, 2021 I'm posting here for future reference. I've had this not work for me in multicrew, maybe it's due to this switch.
