Suggestion: On p. 167 add to the beginning of 6. "Once the DDI display has reverted from the grid, ".

 

Reasoning: If you start to add the easting/northing coordinates, before the DDI display has reverted, digits entered up to that point will be rejected. You must wait until the DDI display has reverted before entering the easting/northing coordinates.
