It's a problem due to missing system integration I think.

Happens on every map, single and multiplayer.

It's easy to reproduce:

Start a mission with a stored waypoint and a TGP attached and any weapon which can be dropped in CCRP mode.

Go to AG mode, make TGP SOI on a selected waypoint and slew the cursor around (apply an offset like you always do when you search for targets).

Now don't reset the cursor (CZ), simply switch to NAV mode and land. The waypoint is indicated correct with the large diamond (and without any offset).

Land and rearm but remove the TGP.

Then depart and switch to AG mode again. The target box still has the offset you previously applied without any way to reset the cursor.

result: AG mode for CCRP attacks unusable. You need to land and load a TGP, then you can reset it.

I should add, cursor zero should only show when the tgp is attached and the point has been moved, this will be adjusted in a future update.

I could not find any real world information about the removal of the TGP and the SPI after rearm, obviously in the real world they do not rearm like we do.

For now cycling the waypoints is the best option

thanks

Cycling waypoints does not remove cursor slews. What happens is TGP tracking is interrupted during the steerpoint number change, preventing SPI supply and preventing introduction of large, unwanted slews. The existing slews at the steer change event carry over though. Pressing CZ or TMS down would remove them as a next step if wanted.

CZ on the FCR formats is missing and prevents the CZ function unless a TGP is carried. CZ is displayed at OSB 9 on the FCR OFF and FCR STBY pages (and GM, GMT, SEA, BCN, AGR). Introduction of non-zeroizable slews is simplest to demonstrate by HUD slewing TD box in CCRP with only Mk 82 loaded.

It's normal for slews of the TD box to not reflect in HUD diamond positioning. It makes sense that deltas would be maintained when hot rearming. DCS gets these details exactly right as far as I'm aware. Updating destination diamond location requires doing a navigation update fix.

EDIT: Apparently the CZ function on HSD format was added in the M5.1 tape which may or may not be applicable to the DCS Viper version.
