I’m having a bit of difficulty with the mfds in the viper in vr. I have the G2 at 100% ss and for the most part they are fine if a bit small, coming from the hornet.

But I can not make out the altitude on datalink contacts, the numbers are just too small, and if I zoom in I still can’t make them out as I go cross eyed.

Are there any mods that make these numbers a bit bigger or clearer? I’ve tried a couple but they just seem to change the colour of things.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated as I love the Viper (fav plane since a kid) but currently I’m a bit snookered and will be heading back to the Bug with a sad face.

Yes there are - several IIRC. Can't remember which one I use - the one that just increases font size, not the colour as well. Use a Reverb G2 and can read all MFD font fine with PD 1.0 & 70% steam SS. (100% SS you will be gold).

EDIT: I use this one - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3309263/

I did some measurement here :

But did not update it for the last version of DCS. Anyway, beside all other features, the purpose of the mod is allowing usage of sharpen for cockpit only to lower SS need and avoid increasing shimmering, plus also feature FXAA instead of MSAA with the same objective. So theorically you should lower some game or steamVR settings, and win some fps vs high SS or high MSAA...

It's not a big risk to test, as no game files are modified.

thank you, but as much as I love the F16, having spent a few days playing around in it I’ve decided it’s not quite ready enough yet for what I want to do. All the issues I’m having are well known and I’m sure will get addressed eventually. So in the mean time I’m back in the f18, and despite what I said in my original post I’m loving that too. Aren’t we lucky to have such an amazing piece of software!

The mod works also for the F18. It increase not only MFD readability, but all things in cockpit.  All the other features are usefull for all planes.
