Vitry En Artois airfield. This is slightly north of the present day one, and is clearly defined by its surviving perimeter track and runways, the latter supposedly still with bomb craters in them. It was widely used by the Luftwaffe up to 1944, including use against daytime raids by the Eighth Air Force, and latterly used by the USAAF and RAF
