Nahemoth Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Hi, I'm looking for a front panel (already have two TM MFDs), which could be used for both, 2D monitor and VR. I have identified models like Stream Deck, or the one from Tek Creations. Any recommendation? Thanks!
Munkwolf Posted July 20, 2021 Posted July 20, 2021 Throwing a different option out... have you looked at X-keys? the 80-key has worked really well for me with every module I've thrown at it. old pic of my rig, with the 80 in landscape between MFDs
Nickrs Posted July 21, 2021 Posted July 21, 2021 Before I got VR I used Stream Deck (32 keys). A plus for stream Deck is that there are users who have posted configs for different aircraft, so its relatively easy to get started quickly. However, since using VR I have not found stream deck practical. If I can't map it on the HOTAS, then I revert to using Voice Attack. In full fidelity planes clicking on the switches is fine but for the low fidelity models, like FC3, voice attack is very useful. Further if you combine it with VAICOM, then it enhances the radio coms aspect of the sim. And since using VR, 2D no longer cuts it for me. 1
