Having had this new Vive Pro 2 for over a month now and many hours in it, wanted to share a couple of things I found with it.

1: Individual per game SS setting for DCS - has no affect. I have my SS setting at default in the global of 150% which is around 4k per eye. Now if I go to the per game setting for DCS, and change it to like 50% of this, it does not take. It still runs at the 4k per eye. Now maybe it is just me this does not work for , but I doubt it. So what I am doing is running at the default 150% setting and lowering my PD in DCS to .8. Alternative just set the global SS to what you want your DCS to run and leave it there.

But I will say when it was doing 4k per eye, man that image was sweet. Just no fps to speak of lol.

2: Motion Compensation. It is really bad. I have found by disabling Motion Compensation in the Vive Console I enjoy a much better experience. In fact as long as I can maintain 45 fps it is really good. I only get wierd artifacting if it drops below 45 fps to 30 fps. IMHO even with Motion Compensation disabled, there is still some type of motion smoothing going on. I say this because I do not get fluctuating framerates with it off. If it drops much it immediately goes from 45 fps to 30 fps. If it goes up, it goes from 45 fps to 90 fps. So some form of motion smoothing is apparently going on. I have been flying campaigns with the Hornet like this and get a very nice experience.

So for any Vive Pro 2 users, I wanted to share this and suggest to give it a try - you might be surprised as well.

Is it just DCS, or is it other games too? When I was fighting the HAGS issue, I'd noticed that the SS% had no effect on anything. But it started working after I'd turned off HAGS.

I have only seen the SS not being applied properly in DCS. I do not have HAGS on. Works fine for me in global setting, just not in per game setting.

Are you using the steam version of DCS? Or stand alone?

I had to add Standalone DCS as a non-steam game to get the per-application SS settings to work.

Stand alone, and yes I added DCS as a non Steam game some time ago. It worked fine with the Reverb G2 and previously with the Rift S, just not with the Vive Pro 2 for whatever reason. Not a big deal as I can work around that other ways to get my SS about where I need, just wanted to point this out. And so far DCS is the only one I have behaving this way with the Vive Pro 2.

It works for me

But if I change the setting it has no effect until I restart DCS.

Well it is odd that it does not for me then, not sure why. I don't make the change whilst in DCS either so not a restart issue I don't think.
