On some servers I've connected to after choosing a slot and hitting fly it'll take 10 minutes to actually get into the cockpit. Most of the time it's just a second or two.

  1. Rename your "Saved Games\DCS..." folder into "DCS_backup" (do NOT delete this folder - it contains your custom controls).
  2. Start DCS and see if this fixed your issue. If it works, I'll explain how to retrieve your custom controls.

It only does it once in a while. Vast majority of servers it works perfectly fine.

OK, then you'll have to:

  1. Reproduce the issue
  2. Then, immediately after your game session, attach your dcs.log file here ( C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS...\Logs\dcs.log ).

Thanks. I see some DCS-BIOS errors, and also this (which took around four minutes!):

2021-08-17 19:29:40.472 ERROR   wInfo: can't open Objects[RPC_5N62V] table
2021-08-17 19:29:40.472 ERROR COCKPITBASE: devices_keeper::link_all: unable to find link target 'ELEC' for device 'DTE'
2021-08-17 19:29:40.472 ERROR COCKPITBASE: devices_keeper::link_all: unable to find link target 'MuxManager' for device 'DTE'
2021-08-17 19:33:36.544 ERROR   Lua::Config: load error C:\Users\cdeat\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\KNEEBOARD/001-missionbriefing-001.lua:table overflow.

Try to update your DCS-BIOS installation and scripts to the latest version.
