Hello,

Is it actually planned by HB to implement separate control profiles for the F-14 A & B? At least for operating the engines. Since these are 2 different engines. Or am I wrong?

I don’t think there enough differences in terms of controls for a completely new profile thing. The only thing I can think of off the top of my head that is exclusive to the A is the Mid-compression bypass circuit breaker.

They were separate at first and then they were combined because it did not make much sense. The only cockpit differences:

http://www.heatblur.se/F-14Manual/cockpit.html#asym-limiter-engine-mode-select-f-14b-only

http://www.heatblur.se/F-14Manual/cockpit.html#mid-compression-bypass-test-panel-f-14a-only

and their bindings plus what DSplayer said are exclusive and just won't work on the other variant.

Hi, thanks for the feedback. But I guess I wasn't precise with what I was getting at. I'm mainly concerned with the engine. The A has about 22,000 pounds of thrust, the B twice as much. In addition, the A has 5 different afterburner levels, which the B is missing. There was the following page:
https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/153959-tm-warthog-ab-detent-curve/
For the B variant, I can create a user profile here. But I cannot imagine that this can be transferred 1: 1 to the A variant. Shouldn't there be at least 2 separate options for profile setting here?

B with 28,200 lbf of thrust/engine is far from twice.

Last time I checked the AB point on the throttle is in the same place in the A and B so no different profile is needed.

What surprise me is that B also has the same noozle indicator also for zone5 even if there is no zone5 in  the B...

The B should probably have 0-10 indicator but it's about percent of opening so functionality is the same.

Thanks, yes i suppose the info is the same but i expect different indicator

Oops ... yeah, I guess I didn't do the right thing ... Ok, the B has 28,200 pounds of thrust. I don't quite understand that with the indicator. But I take from draconus statement that the difference is so small / fine that the effort to provide 2 separate profiles for A & B would not be worthwhile for HB.
