ATC on carrier landings

I was reading Jane’s Flying the FA-18 and tells of a pilot using ATC to help trap

 

Is that true?

 

I know in the future starting with the Super Hornet there will be Autopilot Carrier Landing called Magic Carpet by the Navy

 

I know DCS is a game can the real Hornet has Approach ATC?

Yes, the Hornet should have full ACLS capability. Right now ATC I'm not helpful in a landing configuration.
