Expected Mossie performance vs current plane set

Then maybe it's time to fix the AI instead of selling another UFO model for 50$.

 

I compare with what I'm flying against in singleplayer and campaigns.

Thing is though they do not sell the UFO AI. You get it for free into your game. 

 

Also fixing it would mean a huge decrease in amounts of AI on the map for minimal performance loss.

I get making the AI "smarter" would affect preformance,  but how would limiting the cheating AI affect preformance?

You don't need to actually do much to the AI, more like limiting the preformance of the aircraft itself.

If you want to limit performance, you'd have to detail the systems for AI. The more detailed, the higher performance loss. 

 

You would have to add for example: Effect of overheating, prop pitch and manifold control, more dynamic aircraft handling in general (as for now instant direction changes are possible and stalling is not actually stalling, more locking it in place in the air), better damage model and flight model interaction to mention a few things. 

 

Of course you could also just tune down power available, but that wouldn't fix most issues with it. 

 

I'd say this would consume more performance than actually making it smarter.
