MIghtymoo Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 I found this great mod in the user files: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3317939/ Looks like a great idea for ED to implement a similar function, as this is sorely needed. Now it is frankly a pain to find different modules on the long row of icons on the bottom. Installed modules should at least be shown on the left side and maybe the not installed modules to the right with semitransparent icons? You said something was sorely needed, so I assumed you'd have a reason to say that. I'm trying to understand your wish. Are you asking ED to invest time and resources to improve something that has no functionality other than (arguable) main menu eye candy? Or, again, am I missing some sort of additional functionality of these icons? cfrag Posted August 17, 2021 Posted August 17, 2021 @MIghtymoo - I believe that people here simply assume that the Icons at the bottom of DCS didn't just happen to be there, but they are the result of a conscious design decision made by ED. This design and display metaphor may be not everyone's cup of coffee, hence the Mod (which I really like, if just for the added choices I have). I believe said designer still thinks their design is best, and might vehemently disagree with this idea - which does give rise to questions with regards to your "sorely needed" phrasing; it sounds slightly over the top.
