dresoccer4 Posted August 26, 2021 Posted August 26, 2021 (edited) I've noticed an odd behavior with the TPOD zoom function when you use the S2 and T6 together. Steps to reproduce: 1) Use the tpod to look at a target 2) roll the T6_axis forward to zoom in 3) press S2_forward to zoom in **at this point you should be fully zoomed in, however you're not, the TPOD zoom looks as if the T6_axis is completely zoomed out** 4) now just slightly move the T6_axis and the zoom will pop instantly in to max zoom again This happens on zoom out as well. The T6_axis doesn't remember its zoom when using the S2 zoom as well. J20Stronk Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 (edited) Yeah, this happens because the zoom level isn't stored and applied when you switch between Wide and Narrow FOV. Ironically the TGP, despite being the most used, is probably the least finished of the sensors and a lot of its functions appear to be simplified or not working properly: Entering Area and Point Track mode feels very simple and "arcadey", it behaves almost exactly like the FC3 Su-25T's Shkval. Manual lasing doesn't make any sense and is performed by pressing a nebulous input that isn't on the HOTAS or the MFD. And the pod lacks a masking effect and clumsily reorients itself when the target passes the lateral axis. It hasn't received many updates since the module released, but I think Deka are prioritizing it now. Edited February 17, 2022 by J20Stronk 2

CobraConfetti Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 Was getting a similar issue where the pressing the narrow / wide S switch... it would zoom in, in steps... I'm not sure if this is an actual feature, but when I was stepping in my zoom the RE FOCUS constantly blinked, and the image was blurry... The laser wouldn't fire in manual or auto. When I bound the manual lase option to my hotas to get around the issue... the pod just did the same stepping style zoom pressing the lase key.
