wondering where I can find information on the MIN and MAX launch distances on the new HARM A/C and HRM loft modes?

You launch these from NAP flying so they are going to be different than your typical HARM launch scenarios so should have stricter launch parameters. I've noticed launching <18nm to the target causes the HARM not to LOFT. But launching from 35nm causes the missile to all short.

Thanks for info

Depends on speed and altitude.

as i said NAP thats near sea level for most DCS modules. speed during run is always >500 kts. i think these are fairly consistent LOFT figures which is different than normal launch so the values should be fairly consistent as well. so the MAX and MIN values should have a more narrow range

I don’t have a number for you, but it won’t be generous from on the deck launches. Off the top of my head I usually get IN RNG around 65 +\-5 NM from angels 30+ and just past Mach.
If you’re using preplanned mode, the HARM page and HUD will cue you when in range. I’ve found it to be quite accurate since the HARM update...early this year I think.

sorry, not sure i was clear. i was talking solely about the Preplanned loft modes with A/C and HRM submodes.

it does give launch queues but they are outside of the actual range of the missile. you can launch HRM mode from 30nm away while on deck and it won't make it. if you do the A/C mode I can get a little further. however I also think there's a min distance (which isn't shown with queues) where the missile won't loft at all and flies straight into the hills. thats what i'm trying to figure out with this post.

i believe there's a max, min, and optimum launch distance for the PB LOFT (A/C and HRM) modes while flying NAP
