CybrSlydr Posted September 1, 2021 Posted September 1, 2021 Anyone else notice that the fuel flow at constant altitude will creep on the Viper? I have a Cougar HOTAS and have upgraded the throttle to hall sensors and they work great. But if I set the throttle while on AP, the fuel flow rate will creep up or down even though the altitude is constant. Is this accurate or do I have something I need to troubleshoot?
razo+r Posted September 1, 2021 Posted September 1, 2021 (edited) FF also depends on speed, wind and obviously throttle setting. Changing speed will result in changing FF. Changing winds will influence speed and heading and thus also influence FF. Edited September 1, 2021 by razo+r 1
Sinclair_76 Posted September 1, 2021 Posted September 1, 2021 It's accurate. The faster you fly the more air flows throught the engine the more fuel needs to be added to the mixture for optimal performance.
