_Hoss Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 What do you mean jitters, it can't be force feedback, or I'll be pissed mine doesn't have any. Does it feel like skipping because of grit/grime or something stuck in the ball causing it? I have great grandchildren, and I'm always trying to keep them away from my office/sim room, those hands and fingers are always dirty. Once you get it cleaned/fixed get one of those Monstertech dust shields.. https://www.monstertechusa.com/product/warthog-dust-shield/ Let us know what's causing it. Cheers Hoss 1 Sempre Fortis
InfinityWingman Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 There is a screw inside the grip that gets loose and needs to be tightened I've had this happen twice. Used loctite the second time. ASUS Z390 / Intel i7-9700K / 32 GB DDR4 / 1080Ti / HP Reverb 2 / Thrustmaster WH&TPR Heath and Allen Zedi8 / TrackIR / Momo USB monitor / Akai MPD218
_Hoss Posted September 24, 2021 Posted September 24, 2021 (edited) The small allen screws on the left hand side of the stick on mine get loose once in awhile too, they are metric and I just take a good ball driver and tighten them back up, it gets loose where the F-16 stick meets the metal rod coming out of it int the base. You can put just a whisper of lock tight on them and fasten them down. I'm glad to hear it's not something in the base that's messing up. Hoss Edited September 24, 2021 by 352nd_Hoss Sempre Fortis
Steel Jaw Posted September 25, 2021 Author Posted September 25, 2021 (edited) Thanks for the replies brothers, to clarify: when I hold the stick steady sometimes the signals it sends jump around, so, in the Hornet when pull the warthog stick in the Y axis, the Hornet in sim stick jitters and the in game axis display shows the uncommanded jitters. It also appears that it is loose at the ball joint of the base whereby I can twist the whole stick including the ball joint about 1cm rotation. _Hoss Posted September 25, 2021 Posted September 25, 2021 That sucks............. I tend to be more gentile with mine since I put the 10cm extension on it just for that reason, I didn't really notice the loose stick part until I put the extension on it. Are you going to take it apart?, there are some good YouTube videos of gents taking it apart, and cleaning it. Maybe there are screws you can tighten up. Good luck Hoss 1 Sempre Fortis

Lange_666 Posted September 26, 2021 Posted September 26, 2021 Taking it apart is not difficult, lot's of tube video's on the subject. Could be that the Y-hall sensor has become a bit loose, just a guess. Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600.
