Daimo
Does anyone know what it is? I realise the dots are 30 degrees apart but I have no idea how far away things are.
PickleMonster
This is how it is with most RWR. They're passive sensors that reads direction and signal strength, which doesn't necessarily equate to range. Some RWR's will show high threats as closer to the center, but this is for threat level and not range. To get what you're after, the RWR is just one tool in your overall situational awareness. You'll need to learn the capabilities of the Radars you're seeing. Understand the terrain along the bearing to the transmitter. Use briefings and other intel about known sites. Hobel
with a lot of RWRs, you can get a pretty accurate distance in DCS. You can simply test it: Edit, F18 flying towards you, on approach in RWR>Pause>F10 Map> and see how far away the F18 is at that moment. and so on. so you get a rough idea Edited November 1, 2021 by Hobel
