hannibal Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 yes i know the ka-50 is design to be immune to crosswinds, or at least be able to deal with crosswinds as compared to non co-axial rotor design helicopters... THOSE GUYS CURRENTLY PLAYING BLACK SHARK... have you experienced crosswinds? is it simulated in the game? videos would be nice!!! find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
Zorrin Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 It weathercocks (gets turned into the wind because of the wind hitting the side of your helicopter it then pushes you round) as you would expect. But you're never going to struggle with a crosswind in a chopper because you can turn into wind whenever you want... Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
AlphaOneSix Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 You can turn into the wind anytime you want in an airplane, too.
Zorrin Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 You can turn into the wind anytime you want in an airplane, too. Not always. If the runway doesn't line up with the wind you can't... :) Eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.
AlphaOneSix Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Well the same thing applies to a helicopter if you're doing a runing landing. My point being that cross winds are very much a factor for helicopters, both for real and in the game.
