Auto-transition to missile cam

Last week, during a mission, I don't know if it was a key bind that I pressed or what, but for some reason any time someone fired their gun, or launched a missile (including me) the camera would automatically lock itself to a projectile, and follow it. Does anyone know what causes this? And how the heck do I turn it off?
