The next RS software update will combine HID into single device listing for each of the the FSSB R3 base and the grips, currently you would see 2 devices of the same name in DCS and windows controller setting which may create some confusion.  With the new update, you will now only see a single device with one name sporting 64 DX inputs.  The downside is that not all the buttons and switches will be visible in Win controller setting since it only sees 32 DX buttons per device…but this should work perfectly in DCS and in RS_Tools (this is similar to Winwing Throttle’s Startup panel).

I might be able to get a hold of the test unit for the F-35 throttle also, already previewed by Lowblow recently.  Will disclose as much as I’m allowed to.

Making a single HID will make things easier in another game/simulator where there is a maximum number of HID that the game can accomodate and having 2 taken up is at times inconvenient. Though as stated for DCS this will not be an issue. Main request is that the push function is accessible on all buttons in DCS, especially  TMS, DMS, CMS and Trim

Is there any update on the F35 grip, that grip has not been reviewed?

Their philosophy is one device at a time.  No news on the F-35 stick grip but that would likely be the next on the list since they have announced the HOTAS set.  Of course I will be pestering them for the F-16 throttle grip also.

FYI, for games that support a limited number of HID devices you can use something like HIDHIDE from Nefarious software to mask the unneeded devices.  This is how I got my setup and peripherals to play nice with MSFS, MechWarrior, etc.

A little teaser...check out all the bindable switches on that grip.

Any idea when this update will be available?  Reducing the amount of HID devices would help me massively.  If I have more than two Razer devices plugged in, other devices will disconnect.  I had to sacrifice my Tartarus Pro in order to keep my Winwing combat panel working.

I currently have 10 HID devices connected:  FSSB R3L (x2), F16SGRH CE (x2), TUSBA R2, Winwing takeoff and combat panels, TPR rudders, Total Controls MFBB, and Razer Huntsman v2 Analog.

It’s currently in testing but you can email them and ask for the latest beta version, don’t think they would mind that.

For games with limited HID devices support, I suggest that you use HIDHide app or something similar to mask some of the devices (can be configured per app as well). I have 15+ peripherals, and this allows me to play MSFS without crashing in control setting menu.

I’ll ask them, thanks.

My issue isn’t game specific, it’s on the Windows level. I suspect it’s an issue with Razer’s drivers.

Right now the single HID option is only for the FSSB R3, but this will be available for all the grips as well.

There has always been a firmware that allows single HID but limits the total inputs to 32 DX buttons per memory slot.  The upcoming one opens up all the possible inputs (64) per memory slot while retaining single HID on windows listings (activated by depressing any 5-way button then push up/down/left/right).  Check if you currently have 32 or 64 DX inputs.
