That mortars and other light artillery pieces can be cargo for the UH-1H. Also be able to transport infantry with RPGs.

well, transporting a towed gun via Huey is possible if it's something like one of those 105mm pack howitzers, but if it's a 155mm field piece, I think a Huey would struggle to actually lift the thing.

The UH-1H can carry 200 pounds normally, and 1000 pounds (453,592 kg) on ligher conditions on sling load. That can carry a 120 mortar with as a M120 120mm 2ith a mass of weight off 144.7 kilograms (319 lb) without ammunition and 326.1 kilograms (719 lb) when mounted on trailer. Others can be Recoiless rifles

A tipical 105 howitzer (M119 howitzer) has a mass of 5,110 lb (2,320 kg), that has unable to carry of a UH-1H.

I wasn't talking about something the size of a 119, I was talking about something even smaller and lighter than that, Something designed for the Airborne troops to have shoved out the back of their transports when they jump. The 119 is designed to be brought in once the Crazy B.... erm.... I mean first wave have a spot secured to put it.

The tipical Pack Howitzer OTO Melara Mod 56 was a mass of 1290 kg without ammunition but that can´t be load on a UH-1, is you dont break done on part (12). But that has been supressed by 120mm mortars, with more range and durability.

- US airborne troops carry the M119 howitzer (2,320 kg)
- UK airborne troops carry the L118 light gun (1,858 kg)
- Russian 2B16 Nona-K light 120mm mortar / gun (1200 kg)
