REDEYE_CVW-66 Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 It crossed my mind that the Handy Wind might be an excellent stand in for a supply ship acompanying the carrier strike group. I know that there are some mods available of various quality- but everything that can be kept to base game is a bonus. Currently I don't have the know how to whip up a skin, but I figure it could not hurt to suggest it, as I think it is something a lot of people could be interested in. 1

crazyeddie Posted November 11, 2021 Posted November 11, 2021 Greg - You can do this two ways. 1. If you have created a DCS'Liveries file in your Saved Games folder you can put them in there. if not 2. This mod is in the CoreMods folder in the main game folder - in there look for tech/Tech Weapons Pack/Liveries and in there you should find a folder called HandyWind - stick them in there.

LanceCriminal86 Posted November 17, 2021 Posted November 17, 2021 For those wanting mods, Admiral189 has one replenishment ship USNS Patuxent and plans for the Sacramento I believe. But until something is added officially these look very handy for the intended purpose. Only question would be if they can keep up with the fleet at ~30 knots? crazyeddie Posted November 19, 2021 Posted November 19, 2021 (edited) Handy Wind max speed is 14 kts - to change that you will need to make a JSGME Mod to alter the lua. Here is a JSGME Mod to bring her speed up to 27 Kts, which seems to be the game normal. If you want her to go faster you can play with the numbers in the lua yourself, you will easily see where I have changed things. https://www.dropbox.com/s/f18mt9ufz7m28zp/JSGME Handy Wind.zip?dl=0 If you dont know how to instal using JSGME Now is the time to find out. Search JSGME. Edited November 20, 2021 by crazyeddie 1
