CPU frame time is very high (22ms) in VR on MP servers only and in VR only causing stutters

Yes I often have under 8ms with empty map

could you test my track in VR and tell me your CPU frame time ? thanks

That is a liberation mission with some scripts. If you don't have the problems otherwise it is probably a problem with the mission. Recommend to try other mission and check again. DCS has some quirks. E.g. at Nellis the CPU frame time goes up as well but the rest of the map is fine. So if it is generally ok don't try to fix something for that single mission.

7.5 ms, no spikes. Emtpy mission in Caucasus.

@dureikenlike I said, your track starts on taxiway with horrible 40ms for me. You can try my track instead. Its much shorter, starts in mid air and you can watch the video I posted for easier reference, when the CPU time goes up.

Just tried the track, and it goes on observer view, not in a plane.

Hmm no idea. You need the F16 and thats it. As I am sure high CPU time has nothing to do with MP in my case, let me see and find and, or build a SP mission. Just one minute in lenght needed, looking forward with the headset to eliminate every factor that might lead to false results.

I am having the same issue.  I9-10900k with 3090, 64gb ram, m.2.  It seems to happen worse when i get around other players.  Please help.  Ive tried deleting saved games folder.  Optimizing windows 11.  No RGB, lowering setting.  IDK anymore

System: 7900X3D, MB: TUF Gaming Xg70E-Plus wifi, 64GB DDR5, ROG Strix 3090, Reverb G2, Windows 11

Same issue here, 10700K rtx3090 32GB ddr and 26-30ms CPU frametime in VR... tried, new drivers, disabling FPSVR and stays teh same... CPU is not overloaded but long frametime...

Same for me. Amd 6900xt. I've tried with both 3080 and 6900. Happens with both, but significantly worse with 3080. Cpu barely stressed. All other times frame times are under 15ms. As soon as get near other units it can start spiking with high frame e times and low fps. Usually recovers after a while.

Well it seems like the hardware demand of DCS is rising while its being developed further and further. But we're now at a point where even the newest hardware cant keep up for VR users any more.

Maybe I will upgrade to a i9-12900K processor soon and use the ryzen 5900 as working PC from now on. But I doubt that the performance improvement will be noticeable.

Still good to know that other users have the same experience and its not faulty hardware or software configuration on my PC causing the low CPU frame times.

Looking forward for the DCS Vulkan update. I still have hope for big improvements in VR like Vulkan did to the VR experience in XPlane.

I tought, I was crazy .....
I can't for the life of my make it smooth anymore & I know it was a while back.
Like Retroprojection off Around 60 fps stable now it's good if I get 45
Hotplug did help a nudge but nothing crazy & Yes I delete my shader/Fxo every 10 minutes

5800x (5.0ghz) What seems like very inconsistent load.
3090 Oc to 1935 Barely any load either (That one piss me off)
32GB Cl18 soon to be 64GB Cl18
Reverb G2 Steam VR at 100% (3400x3400)

I'm not home right now, but I think i'll move all the slider to low & go play Enigma Raising settings 1 by 1.

Same problem here - i7 13700k. CPU framtetime in MP (blue flag with around 20 players or Enigmas) over 20ms... Open Beta and "stable" same disaster. While MP server are almost empty - it can be 7ms.

PC: i7 13700k, 64GB RAM 3600MHz DDR4, SSD M.2 Drives, RTX 4090, VR: Quest 3.
