Machalot Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 (edited) When altitude hold autopilot is engaged, the altitude can be adjusted using the trim switch up and down. The reference symbology on the HUD slides up and down when the trim switch is held, but it moves much faster than the altitude reference value tracked by the autopilot. So after releasing the trim switch, the autopilot holds the new reference altitude, but the HUD symbols are aligned to a much different altitude. Pressing the Reference button or momentarily turning the autopilot off and back on with realign the HUD symbols with the current altitude. I'm posting on my phone so I don't have a track at the moment. It's easy to reproduce, but if a track is requested I can make one tonight. I am not able to reproduce this, can you create a video? Well, now I can't reproduce it either. I noticed this issue probably almost a year ago, and just finally got around to reporting it. I definitely observed it the night that I reported it. My HUD reference lines would slew up and down very fast when I used the trim switch while in altitude hold. But now when I tested it tonight, they move at a very slow rate and the aircraft follows them to the correct altitude. I wonder if the most recent patch affected something, or who knows. To be honest, I guess so, but I indeed remember seeing this effect once too, but wasn't able to reproduce it with the current OB 2.7.8.16140. I will fly the Viggen a bit this weekend, maybe I will catch it again, or - hopefully - don't catch it anymore. 1 Visit https://www.viggen.training ...Viggen... what more can you ask for? my computer: AMD Ryzen 5600G 4.4 GHz | NVIDIA RTX 3080 10GB | 32 GB 3.2 GHz DDR4 DUAL | SSD 980 256 GB SYS + SSD 2TB DCS | TM Warthog Stick + Throttle + TRP | Rift CV1
