_UnknownCheater_ Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 Helmet display locked symbol didn't match current locked bandit's position in MP.I have try to HMD alignment, but always failed, never succeeded.Reslot not working, still can't alignment and stuck at this bug.The only way is rejoin server. And the F16's HMD has this issue too,the locked symbol isn't on the bandit or not show the correct offset direction of bandit.I always flight in MP PVP,I didn't get this issue in SP.I haven't the track files.I hope u guys if have s the same issue pls upload the track files or somethings. Example 1: I locked one HOT bandit front of me ,same altitude at about 25000 FT,and I crank to left about 30 degrees for the F-Pole.The HMD locked symbol "Diamond" show on the deck and no arrow pointing to the target which I locked(So the HMD "locked" a bandit on the deck? Not synced with radar?). Example 2: Dogfighting use HMD Boresight can't lock bandit, bcz the Boresight Circle of the HMD is "offset".Even though I locked the bandit, the locked symbol also is "offset",the symbol not on the bandit's current position. Harker Posted November 7, 2021 Posted November 7, 2021 You say you failed to align your HMD, it seems that is the issue here. Are you following the correct procedure to align? For the Hornet, that is: 1. Enable the HMD via the knob in the cockpit. 2. Run a BIT test and stop it after all the patterns show. (BIT -> DISPLAYS -> HMD). The status for the HMD should now be GO. 3. SUPT menu -> HMD -> ALIGN. Match the HMD and HUD crosses for Coarse alignment. Press and hold the Cage/Uncage button until you get the OK message. Then, the alignment will automatically change to Fine alignment, where you can use the TDC to finely align the two crosses with the HUD symbology. You can switch between XY and Rotational alignment via Cage/Uncage (that part is correctly updated and different from Wags' tutorial). When satisfied, exit alignment via the HMD page. There is a similar procedure for the Viper and it's explained in one of Wags' tutorials on Youtube. You can also find it in the mini-updates thread. Also, could it be that you start your SP flights already in the air or in a hot started jet? In those cases, HMD alignment is already completed. 2 The vCVW-17 is looking for Hornet and Tomcat pilots and RIOs. Join the vCVW-17 Discord. In SP,Cold and Hot planes also can manual alignment HMD successfully and never get this bug.But in MP, sometimes will get this bug and stuck on it.Hot or Cold plane always manual alignment failed.U can't solve this with reslot plane, only way is rejoin server. Don't tell me how to alignment,I won't post this article without known how to alignment first.Ur reply seems u think I am a idiot. In SP,Cold and Hot planes also can manual alignment HMD successfully and never get this bug.But in MP, sometimes will get this bug and stuck on it.Hot or Cold plane always manual alignment failed.U can't solve this with reslot plane, only way is rejoin server.
