Hello. I was trying to showcase DCS to a friend using M2000 Persian Gulf landing quick mission. I did not fly over Vegas for a few years and was shocked how poorly it looks right now! Most buildings are a low-res mess. I remember it looked stunning when the map first came out. Now to properly see a building one must fly very close AND zoom in the view!!! Both VR and non-VR.

I first thought it was due to my low settings, but even after changing Terrain Textures to High, Visibility Range to Extreme, removing all mods, repairing the game and deleting all shaders, I got the same result.

Please check if you see this. And don't tell be my PC is too old. The game at high settings should look properly even if at 1 FPS. Normally I don't care how buildings look as I fly CAP. But it would annoy me greatly if the devs have dumbed down the rendering to such an extent, to mask the snowballing problems of the poorly written engine. If so, we are really at the end of it's life...

That's because the "Scenery Details Factor" is responsible for structures rendering now and you've got it set to minimum. Crank it up back to max and you'll get the high-res buildings again.
