OP, lower your settings.  Go to minimum if you have to.  Sure it won't look as nice, but I can fly VR on a 1070M.  I'm not sure for how much longer, as each new iteration of the game chips away at my framerate, but it is still hanging in there.  I have promised myself an upgrade in the new year though, it will be nice to enjoy some of that eye candy.

If I lower my setting, the game will not be enjoyable. As Ive said. I have what I consdier to be my minimums and below there is no point for me as the sim simly becomes a procedural one. And since the procedures are reduced to consumer level depth, it then fails at both.

Is there any way of reverting back to an older version?

If you revert back and stay there, you wont see the apache.  Revert back to 2.7.6 to enjoy more what you had ONLY if you are certain the patch caused the issue. In my case there is a 16 fps difference and I have the luxury of a big M2 drive so I can (just about) have the OD and the old Stable to switch between.

Oh, and if you revert, rename your old Saved Games folder to ensure a good fresh reversion with a fresh saved games folder.  You can then swap over your controller settings without much hassle.

Hi! What you advise to do for me, if my settings already low and after last update i have "strong" 35 fps which not allow ASW at G2 with 80%ss and FSR? Maybe i need upgrade my 12700k (5ggz) and 3080ti? :DDD Really have 35-30 fps even training mission Spitfire cold start.
That just irony because im full of sadness that i recently bought much modules and cant fly. Whant fly Krasnodar compamy for MIG-21...

There is for quite some people (if not all) a significant performance loss when going from 2.7.6 to anything above.
You can always revert back to an older version. You can do through a command line or...

One of the neatest tools out there to do this is Skatezilla's Update Utility.
It lets you upgrade, downgrade (under Adv Updater Options Tab), create a copy, make an open beta out of a stable version and vice versa and lots of other stuff.

Many thanks all. When I get a spare hour, I will try to fettle DCS as best as I can, if not, try a fresh install. I did wonder up til now how I could get the Marianas as it wasn't showing at all until I updated.

I am saving for parts to build a new PC, but it's slow going!

Thanks again.

Finally, I can run DCS!!!

So, I think my problem has been solved. The last two video presentations on the fuel and navigation systems have pretty much confirmed Im a steam guage, analogue switch kinda guy that prefers looking out of his window even if he is lost. Weighing up what I like about helos, it isnt systems and isnt really the bang bang stuff either. Its a far more basic control thing.

I think the AH64D will be an incredible module for those with an interest in modern cockpits and systems. As with the Hornet and F16, I just cant see myself having the dedication or the inclination to learn it in that amount of detail whilst retaining enough spare RAM in my brain to remember how to fly other stuff almost, kinda, nearly well.  This isnt a swipe or critisism just a sobering moment when one realises how capable modern RL pilots actually have to be in that respect and perhaps how much outboard gear sim pilots of modern stuff need to get the most out of a module such as this.

And yes I do still still think it'll take a pig of a rig to run it really well.

Luckily, the Hip is still a wonderful module which will probably check every box for you. 🤗👍

Hip, Hind and, to a large extent the KA50. Add to that the Migs, the commonality in many systems between REDFOR modules and my love of the 70s and Im set as I am already (although a full fidelity SU17 wouldnt go amiss)

Dont begrudge anyone the Apache.
