I pre-order the DCS: AH-64D and used my ED miles - now with the increasing ED miles, will i get the different between 8500 and 5599?

[..]As a token of our appreciation for your pre-orders, we are increasing your pre-order ED miles up to 8,500. [..]

totally unfair. Used also the miles and of course received a lower price, but those that didn't use them they will receive a plus discount in future buyings that I won't. Us that used the miles there is no compensation for this delays appart have a better module (but the ones that have a compensation will have the same)

It wasn't fair to steam users either, but that's life. I too missed out on the extra miles - buying through ED directly but using miles on the purchase.

However it is what it is. ED did what they could with the systems they had in place at the time as an offer of good will. I don't expect them to take time from Apache Development to focus rewriting the purchase system to credit others outside of what is already available for them to do.

Unfair still? Yes.... but I purchased it on pre-order, with no guarantee on date, and no expectation to get any credit my way if the date wasn't pushed back - so I've gotten exactly what I've paid for so far - nothing has changed there.

Externally - some others have benefitted with a little 'extra' where I haven't. Good on 'em. I'm glad for them, and glad to see some people benefitting out of this even if I can't. It's better some get a benefit even if I miss out. I for one am certainly not going to advocate that those who have received a blessing out of it should have it revoked for us who can't.

The other solution - I guess ED have to change the way they implement things, and then that begs the question - where does ED stop? Those who spent miles will say give us miles too so the system is redesigned - but then what about the guys on Steam?

Surely people saying 'unfair' aren't advocating for a solution that benefits them but is still unfair to others?!?

So I guess ED have to try and figure out a way to benefit Steam users as well. Then what about other modules that have been delayed in the past that didn't get any benefit? What are we really asking for here? A change that will only benefit us, but still be unfair for others who miss out?

They say no good deed goes unpunished - and I guess that applies here. ED trying to do a good dead within the boundaries of what they could - getting punished for it. Some times in life there is no right path - just the best in a bad situation. I'm grateful for the work ED is doing.

I think some people can rest easy though - I doubt ED will consider giving extra miles credit again in the future given how this has unfolded, so I doubt you won't have to worry about it being unfair again in the future - everyone will miss out equally... and I wouldn't blame ED for this.

As a person who didn't receive any benefitted miles - I still say "Thank you ED for doing the best you could with what you've done. Even if I missed out - thanks for having a go."

The Miles program exists because ED gets less money from Steam users.

I've burned myself exactly once mixing Miles and cash. Now I don't spend ANY Miles, unless its for the whole bill.

The rules are there for all to read, and it's not unfair at all if you think a little about it. Most benefit programs do it the exact same way, at least for all airlines. Don't they?

I have nothing against the ED Miles program - it is great, much better than the bonus program in the past!
Also that steam user can't participate on the ED Miles program is okay for me, because over the ED Shop, ED get the money direct without the STEAM 'tax'.

But the increase of Bonus Points for a pre-order during the pre-order phase was not fair - yes it is only a discount of $2.90 but not every customer of the ED Shop got the benefit, only a few.

Remember the Mi-8 disaster, just a few weeks after release, the price drops significant and every released customer got a 70% voucher?!?

Thank you for your feedback but this is not going to change.

If you paid with ED miles it is not possible to credit ED miles to the account.
