Mission 11 - Carrier Comms

Hi Glyn, the case III recovery seems a bit flaky, i was told to  go to alternate a couple of times before getting it to let me land , which didnt happen until i was right on top of the boat? when i moved away it seemed to fall off the net and then come back when i was under about 10nm... do you have a trigger set for the boats radio?

A bit confused as mission 10 of The Rise of the Persian Lion, "Dropping in unexpected", does not have a boat landing?

No there is no radio triggers for the case 3 approach. It’s  all std DCS radio so out of my control. 
The only trigger is to get your wing man out of your hair when you make your approach. 
Not saying this is the case but very often when you get the divert response it is because you have not selected the carrier but one of the other ships of the fleet by mistake which obviously will not let you land. Selecting the wrong one is very easy I have done it a couple of times.

I have looked at removing all the other fleet ships from the radio menu but currently this is not possible in the mission editor.

are they all on the same freq as the Carrier ? if so that might be the problem

No problem here. Only the wingman that followed me trail to the carrier before breaking off.

Yes, the break off is intentional as the AI wingman if left to his own devices sometimes conflicted with the player.

I will check, but it is the selection in the radio menu which is important. Strike will tell you which pri button to press for correct frequency.
