Percopius The game has built in configs for mutliple monitor if you are looking to map the abris system or shkval to a different screen. If you just want to display the cockpit across multiple screens the latest Nvidia drivers allow that even with SLI. I think ATI has similar functionality. Theres a few threads on the subject. I would shy away from software solutions unless you have a super system because it will impact performance and a stuttering screen = death.... It doesn't look like that supports widescreen screen ratios either :/ Good idea though, maybee that program matures a bit more..... urze Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 (edited) I would shy away from software solutions unless you have a super system because it will impact performance and a stuttering screen = death.... This is not quite right, you don't need a "super system". It's all about the right combination and components... You can get it for less than 1000€ if you want. And Vista don't allows "Span Modes" because of DRM - so if you want to have The Game view/Abris/Shkval on a second(third) monitor, Matrox's solution is the only way to go on systems with Vista up to now. Shrubbo Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 The tripple head has some interesting software with it. I forget it's name but basically what it does is "cut off" some of the image. So instead of the image being displayed across 3 monitors and 2 inches if bezel stuffing the alignment up it hides some of the image so it looks like you are looking out 3 windows and some of the seen is naturaly lost behind the "window frame". I was putting a lot of thought into this because add this to track IR and then things are beginning to look really good but I came across one show stopper for me. The graphics hardware and related hardware to run it is at the moment not something I want to spend my cash on atm. 3 x 1680 x 1050..... ouch. Unless you cut the resolution and graphics settings right down but that would defeat the whole purpose of the thing. But man I am so tempted :D i9-9900K,Z390 Aorus Master, 32GB GSkill Trident F4-3600 DDR4, ROG Strix RTX 2080 Ti, Oculus Rift S. Thrustmaster Warthog T&S, TPR Pedals.
Tango Posted November 26, 2008 Posted November 26, 2008 Run XP. No DRM, no problem. :) As above - DCS:BS already has native support for spanning the view. Best regards, Tango.
