Strange AI behavour in landing

So I get my hydraulic failure on mission 4, and I'm trying to do an emergancy landing, but the AI just keeps landing and landing, It feels trange they just gonig about thier sunday landing, when the flight leader has an emergency and needs to land, they keep cloging up the runway.

Surely you can find a gap? IRL they would let the good planes land first in case the damaged one clogs the runway. Also, it’s good to burn some fuel, just in case.
