New FA18C TM Grip.... can't map buttons

Thought this would be a plug n play install but apparently not.  

Warthog base, 10cm extension and and now with FA18 grip.  

How do I get the PC/DCS to recognise the new grip?  Can't get any buttons to respond in the 'Adjust Controls' menu

It could be a controller address issue in DCS itself. Have you checked if the buttons work in the Windows controller properties? Is it showing up in Windows devices?

Back when the TM F/A-18C Hornet grip was released, i remember my Warthog base needed a firmware update to work with the Hornet grip. So depending on how old your Warthog base/firmware is, this might be worth a try

Is your Firmware up to date? for the stick?  latest one is Firmware 12, the Throttle is firmware 23.  with the Stick firmware, when I was running 11, I could see all the new stuff in the TARGET Command GUI. page.  But I use the F-16 stick.  When I used the latest version of the 128dx script it would not compile because I was not running the latest firmware.

go to your start menu, in search type "Firmware Update" and the ThurstMaster firmware updater program will open, you will see the F/A-18 stick and your throttle, click on the stick and follow the instructions.  Piece of cake................

Probably firmware like others have mentioned but I would just double check the connections between the base, extension, and grip are all good. While putting together my VKB I didn't seat the grip all the way into the base and thought it was a software thing for a bit before discovering the issue.
