How to hide or remove the flare pistol?

How do you get the crew to remove (or hide) this flare gun/ pistol on the right of cockpit which hides some instruments and buttons?

In the mission editor with the special options or whatever it is called (same place like weapon/loadout button, but all the way to the right of it) or via ground crew, ask them to remove it.

Good information, I didn't know we had that command in the menu and tried it immmediately.
It works, but don't forget to open the canopy before you ask the ground crew to remove the gun!

In my opininion we should have a command for removing the flare gun in flight. I believe that the pilot could do that.

I wish we had that as a module option in the main options menu like the JF-17 refueling boom. It's still not hard to install on the ground should you need it, and I'm tired of removing it every single time because it's obstructing the instruments.

Yes, that would suit me fine. I hate the thing, and I have removed it from all the missions that I have created or modified.
