my hats off to the new explosion effects... but ground vehicle countermeasures smoke something left to be desired.

after testing the minigun on a truck,

i was surprised and happy at the same time that it actually blew up with visual and audio..

 

im hoping this thread will start conversation with the dev's.. the guys that work on particle and effects..

PLEASE UPDATE ground vehicle smoke countermeasure deployment

it is immersion breaking to see smoke coming out of thin air..

it will make the huey and the AH64 experience even greater should this noticeable effect be updated,

i mean the fire effects have come ALONG WAY since pervious DCS versions

PLEASE GIVE SOME LOVE TO THE GROUND COUNTERMEASURES EFFECTS! 

 

 

maybe some sparks before hand for the smoke that is deployed in air

  Smoke grenades, there are usually clusters on both sides of the turret. Diesels can also just dump fuel in the exhaust and make smoke that way, too.

if ED can animate that, that would feel more immersive. 

its like flying a huey to a tank, and then when enemy armor deploys smoke,  it looks more like storm clouds popping up than countermeasures... 😛
