Happy new year reflected,  hope you had a great time and it's a good year ahead! I've put this here as I'm uncertain where else to go but am uncertain if it's me or if it's outside my control.

In an attempt to do this without spoilers by issue is after I land and rearm at Berlin. While getting back up to flight Idle one of the backseat gunners says we are hit and once I take off I find that the front weapons no longer fire. Checking the after mission summary I see they get damaged. But in addition to this the back seat gunners no longer shoot either.

I've have tried it twice, thinking the first time that I had been unlucky where I landed but it's the same issue. Is this me doing something wrong or is it a potential bug? Love the campaign though! Definitely unique in its feel! Im Definitely a better slick than hog driver mind 😁

  • Indianajon changed the title to Mission 9 weapons issue?

Once you rearm, the game resets all ROE. Also, after changing some of the ROE around, I also found myself not being able to shoot. Must be a core DCS anomaly. just cycle the ROE of the copilot and it will eventually work.

PS: you're supposed to get off the ground in an emergency much faster than that 😉

@Indianajon

If you started the arming process, you have to wait until the release comes.
If you abort and start too early, the upgrade process won't work and the weapons won't work.

You have to land again and rearm.

Always happy landings ;)

I run also into the weapon issue in the third try I flew the mission. The rule for mission 9 : let the fingers from re-arm dialog ( refuel was anyway a bit useless ).

In first and second try of mission the mortars hit me ( yeah.. I know.. I'am a luck man  ) . Thus I managed the mission at fourt try ( and my convoi lifetime contigent is full now ).

The mortar scene was inspired by a part in 'Guts n' Gunships' where they had to take off in a hurry because of a mortar attack. They were at idle, and they didn't even wait for the RPM to rise before they pulled pitch.

In game, I see a lot of people waiting too long, perhaps waiting for the rearm to finish? As soon as the first hits and you hear 'incoming' you forget everything else and get out of there. To account for an unlucky direct hit, I made the player immortal for the first 20-30 seconds. That should be plenty to get out of there, and never was I hit once during testing.
