Vic Posted January 11, 2022 Posted January 11, 2022 I have been flying this mission, it's pretty cool But I'm wondering how did he add radio berlin music to radio channel D. In the mission editor it says frequency 131 I like it, it's a nice touch and I would like to add that to one of my missions. How do you do that?
Vic Posted January 12, 2022 Author Posted January 12, 2022 I found this tutorial, and it worked!! Radio Tutorial.pdf 1

Radio Tutorial.pdf 3.16 MB · 2 downloads awesome, thank you for finding it! I've been flying with Amazon music and even though the song selection is excellent listening to them via actual radio is gonna be so better x10 more. Just need to find the appropriate hour long broadcast now 1
peachmonkey Posted January 13, 2022 Posted January 13, 2022 @Vic so one thing I'm not sure I get. Where is the actual radio tower? He's referencing a point that if the tower is destroyed the broadcast will stop. But nowhere in the doc he mentions which tower/where it is. I get the zone, but wouldn't it be attached to a specific tower in game?
Vic Posted January 13, 2022 Author Posted January 13, 2022 Just go into static objects/buildings. I used what they called TV tower cuz it looked like a big radio antenna and call it radio antenna. Place it anywhere on your map.

Place it anywhere on your map. ok, but how do you tie the radio transmission to this particular tower though? Or it's automatic as long as it's somewhere in the trigger zone? Or the trigger zone doesn't matter at all to it?
Vic Posted January 14, 2022 Author Posted January 14, 2022 When you pick the static object and place it anywhere on the map, then you click on that object and that's where you would name the static object, just like when you click on any object in the mission editor. You can give the unit its name, like Crazy Mary, Radio Tower, or whatever you decide to name it, From the way I understand it is linked from the input you put into the Conditions menu (center box in the trigger menu) You can name the tower anything you want. If call it Crazy Mary that name will appear in the "UNIT" drop-down menu. Thats what ties it to the condition "UNIT ALIVE"

Just need to find the appropriate hour long broadcast now @Vic I subscribe to Sirius XM and they have an awesome music channel called "40's Junction", channel #71. All the great big band music from back in the day, 24/7. Really fits the period. Since I only play SP, all I have to do is turn on XM and let it run in the background. Saves a lot of typing. Perhaps you can find something similar. Now for MP, you will have to follow the above tutorial if you want everyone to hear the music. I also have "Nero Wave Editor" which allows me to re-analog my files and give them a lower fidelity and even add 78 RPM record effects with hiss, clicks and crackle. Really adds to the immersion With the right software, and a little imagination, you will be transported right back to the 40's. Fly safe, oh, trust me, I know that 40's channel very much, and I'm not even in my 50's ..lol The fact that XM switches its programming to Christmas music in Nov/Dec upsets me to no end lol (although they still make it available in the streaming app). Thanks for the pointers!
