Mike Force Team Posted January 21, 2022 Posted January 21, 2022 For a future mod, mission editor option, or whatever the appropriate term is, allow players to be ground radar controllers. People are able to go into the radar control vans/trailers/trucks/modules and able to interact with a fully functioning console. Let's say the radar console for the SA-2, which shot down some U-2 spy planes. The player is able to use the radar to acquire the target and can fire the SAM in an attempt to destroy the threat. 1

The extent may be limited, but it does allow for it. Also remember that those in CA can also direct (over voice coms) their most powerful asset in air defense: Their sides own fighters.

Even in SP, CA (and the right role) lets you issue orders to AI aircraft much the same as you can to ground units. They're even more fiddly and unreliable as far as making them do what you want than artillery and similarly reticent ground guys, but it is doable. 1 ❧ ❧ Inside you are two wolves.
