Disabling Inlet Covers and Ladder for "Takeoff from the ground?"

Recommended Posts

I built a roadbase FARP and want to start up but cannot get the ground crew to remove the inlet covers/ladder. Is there any way currently to set-up the JF-17 without the inlet covers and the ladder (ignoring the "Takeoff from the ground (hot)" setting)?

Or am I messing up the FARP and it turns out you can get the ground crew to remove the covers and ladder?

No issue contacting the ground crew and asking them to remove the ladders, rearm, etc., I'm guessing you've missed something ?

Placed an invisible "Helicopter" FARP with a selection of appropriate "service" vehicles for radio/ATC, rearming and fuelling (fire truck is cosmetic IIRC) and all worked as expected.

Huh, ok. I'll give my FARP a once over. There isn't any real difference between REDFOR and BLUFOR units right? I'm doing a REDFOR FARP and I slapped down one of each "Eastern Unit" according to this

[EDIT1 and EDIT2] So I changed the weather from -2C to something more balmy and the ground crew got to work again lol. PSA: The ground crew are reptillians and will not operate in mildly chilly weather. and it turns out that if its too windy/turbulent, the ground crew won't work. Odd but nice to know.

That sounds like an bug or oversight where the game checks the IAS of the air moving on the aircraft, rather than displacement of position to determine if you are moving or not.
